But first, the interesting thing that I promised.

It turns out my steppy's paranoia isn't entirely unfounded. He was attacked on Sunday by the Roach Brothers (yes, their surname is Roach, I didn't say that to be clever) whilst driving to my dad's. A bloody fight ensued, and after he got G------ down on the ground, Steppy turned, and when he wasn't paying attention, G------'s brother handed him something. He bashed Steppy's face in. Steppy got back into his car and somehow drove the rest of the way to my dad's. Dad took him to hospital, they stitched his face up as best they could (inside his mouth, his lip, his nose, and his head), but he has to see a surgeon to repair the broken facial bones. I may actually have pictures soon, if he'll let me get any. The police caught G------ Roach, and they are treating this as an attempted homicide, since he had threatened to kill Steppy, and almost succeeded. They are affililated with a certain organisation whose name I will not mention here, but are vicious, and anyone who knows who I'm referring to knows this. It's been a bizarre last few days, to say the least.

Also, yesterday, I cut the grass for the first time in my life. It's hard work!

An now, on to the meme, which I nicked off [livejournal.com profile] jason_bond_69.

1. Your Livejournal username and what it means:
LimeySugar was created one day about 5ish years ago over some daiquiris.  It refers to the flavoured sugar round the rim of the glass.  And, since I'm English, and fairly sweet, I started using it as a screen name waaaaaaay before I'd even heard of LiveJournal.

2. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your Livejournal represent who you actually are?
I'd say about 7 or 8.  Some things I keep to myself, you know.

3. How much about your life do you post to LJ?
A fair amount of it, really.  Not everything, of course.

4. Is there anything you refuse to post about?
Not so much refuse, as think is too boring or pointless.  There is loads of drama always happening in my life, some of which is no one's business, but mostly I'm fairly open.  I don't like to talk about some things because sometimes venting can be misconstrued as looking for sympathy.

5. On a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
Mostly a 4 or a 5.  I'm not very entertaining.

6. Has anyone ever joined LJ because of you?
I don't think so.

7. What proportion of your posts are friends only?
Less than 1%.

8. What are your top five favorite interests on LJ?
In alphabetical order: Alcohol, kilts, Monty Python, sex, and slash.

9. How often do you post in communities, and did you ever start your own?
Every now and again, if I have something relevant to say.  And every community I've ever started has gone arse over teakettle for some reason.  I think I'm too boring.

10. How often do you respond to comments on other people's journals?
Not often, really.  I hardly respond to posts in other people's journals, let alone comments.

11. Do you prefer to write in your journal or read other journals?
I like to update mine, but I like to read others.  I read, but I don't always comment.

12. Have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument on LJ?
Boy, have I!  I like to start arguments sometimes, when I'm bored.  Ask anyone who knows me about this one. . .

13. Have you ever banned someone from your journal?
No.  I like to leave my journal open, even to people who hate me.

14. Who are your four favorite LJ friends and why?
This is not a fair question!  How the bloody hell am I supposed to choose four?  Okay, here they are, chosen at random, and in no particular order:
-- [livejournal.com profile] deleerium, because she writes the stuff I want to read.  Namely, hot Orlijah AUs.
-- [livejournal.com profile] talesinbloom, because she sends me random comment snogs, and she actually misses me when I'm gone.  Oh, and did I mention the hot boysex she writes?
-- [livejournal.com profile] vestalvagrant, because she's a lovely person.  She was the first person I 'met' after I started writing slash almost three years ago.
-- [livejournal.com profile] beanzy, because she's funny as fuck.

15. Why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?
They have some of the same interests as I have, or they seem interesting .

16. Do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?
Yes.  Sometimes, I'll add someone, and then for some reason or other, I un-add them.

17. What is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list?
I don't know.  Well, okay, maybe if they expect me to comment on every little entry, because I won't.

18. Is your "significant other" on LJ?
I no longer have a significant other.  But he wasn't and still isn't, as far as I know.

19. Have you ever wanted to meet someone on LJ?
I've met [livejournal.com profile] skyeathena and [livejournal.com profile] vestalvagrant, and there are a few more people I would like to meet.  I have bad luck with that, though.  Every time I meet someone from online in person, we tend to stop talking.  That's been like that since the first time I ever met an online acquaintance in 1998.
