seethingheathenOr don't. Work sucked today, really. Well, mostly. I noticed this morning that on yesterday's magazine count sheet, my boss had doodled the World Trade Centre, complete with billowing smoke and an aeroplane. I nearly pissed myself laughing because he's so fucking crazy it's unbelievable. And I started reading Angels and Demons. Is it true that American dollar notes really have that New Secular Order thing on them? I never really paid much attention to American currency to notice, and I don't have any I can look at. Can one of my American friends snap a note for me? I want to seeeeeee.
Whilst I was reading the aforementioned novel, three idiots walked into the shop and asked me of we were closed. I asked them if the door was locked. I should have said, 'Yes, we are closed, but we keep the door unlocked as not to inconveniece thieves.' Fuckwits.
And then- there's this man, Chris, who's usually high, who comes into the shop on weekends. He'd been banned by Mitchell, but I don't really have any problems with him, other than that he never buys anything and just comes in looking for men. He usually gives me a pound or two, just to be nice. Or so I thought. Turns out he's afraid of me. There are rumours that I've a temper, and that's why he gives me money- to stay on my good side. I was well and truly shocked. I've never done anything to give him reason to fear me, but he says he's 'heard around' that I'm a nasty sort. Wow. I feel like the Mafia. Pay me, and I'll treat you well. Though today I told him that he doesn't have to give me money, but he pushed the coin into my hand and left. As it happens, a lot of the customers are afraid of me. Weird. Sort of makes me wonder what Mitchell told people after the food-stealing incident.
