seethingheathen: (Rachel & Rob Rotten)
I spent all the bloody night cleaning up my bedroom. I've been done for about an hour now, but I couldn't get to sleep! I can see the floor now, though. And the couch. It was clothing everywhere! And dust like you would not fucking believe. I sorted through my clothes and gave loads of them away to charity, which I usually do once a year (it helps justify spending money on new clothes). I even made my bed up all by myself! This may not sound like such a big deal to you lot, but I cannot make a proper bed. I was never made to do for myself as I grew up, so I never bothered to learn. It looks okay, I reckon. One side of the duvet nearly reaches the floor, and the other is rather high, but after I get all snuggled into bed for a nice nap, it won't make a difference.

What spawned this cleaning-up mission? Yesterday, my sister bought me an Orlando Bloom calendar, and I had no place to hang it. I had to rearrange the shite on my walls. Whilst I was doing that, I realised that my room looked like a fucking cyclone had hit it, so in order to make the walls look pretty, I had to get the floor picked up. And clean the couch off. And dust the computer desk. And clean off the bedside table. And clear of the dresser. And clean out the wardobe. And wash the mirrors. And the lamps.

My mum's going to die of heart failure when she sees that I didn't bribe some poor soul (my sister) to do it all for me. I can usually get Deidra to do my washing for £5.00 a load- wash, dry, and fold, but not putting away- if I beg.

I found things I forgot I even owned. And I found things in boxes from when I had to ship everything back home when I got chucked out of Uni for being a big drunk loser. I found three papers I had written, A's on every one. One from Ethics and two from English composition. Ah, America, how I miss thee.

Here's what the teachers wrote on each paper:
The first was about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
Wonderful work, Sonja! A+

The second was a comparison of Elves and Men in Tolkien.
Sonja, this is SUCH and fantastic paper. I am truly impressed with your literary criticism - your love of Tolkien definitely shows through!! I wish your scores throughout the quarter had been better - this grade will bring you up to a high "D" in the course. Please know that this grade is NOT a reflection of your abilities as a writer! I am glad you wrote this piece - it was a refreshing change of pace for me to read. Good luck with everything. A+

And then the Ethics paper about Physician Assisted Suicide. My Ethics teacher was the one who reported me for constantly showing up to class shitfaced.
Great Job! Well thought out. Neatly done. Great use of language. 28/28 = 100% A.

Damn, I miss being there.I don't think I'll have another chance like that. My teachers were rather nice people.
