I stole this from [livejournal.com profile] dysonrules.

What did you do in 2007 that you have never done before?
I got a job in America. Well, a couple jobs, but I'd never done that before.

Did you keep all of last years resolutions?
I don't make resolutions, because I never keep them. It's a waste of an effort.

Have you any resolutions for next year?
Nope.

What countries did you visit?
Just America, but it's not really a visit. I have a flat here and everything.

What would you like to have in 2008 that you didn't have in 2007?
I can't think of anything in particular.

What date in 2007 will remain etched in your memory?
My parents were remarried on 13 May. They'd been divorced for seventeen years.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Finally getting my working visa.

What was your biggest failure?
I don't know. I don't think I failed at anything this year.

Did you suffer any illness or injury?
Just the normal seasonal yuckiness, I suppose. Nothing major.

What was the best thing you bought?
Oh, wow. The best thing that was bought for me was my car, but that's no big deal. The best thing I bought myself was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My sister's, but that's par.

Where did most of your money go?
I have no idea! I just spend it, I don't keep track of it.

What did you get really really, really excited about?
Coming to America to live and work, and of course Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

What songs will always remind you of 2007?
Unfortunately, anything by Britney Spears. I don't listen to her music, but she's been in the news so much this year, I won't be able to help it.

Compared to this time last year are you: Fatter or thinner?
I'm the same, actually.

What do you wish you'd done more of?
I don't think there's anything.

What do you wish you'd done less of?
Hrm. Again, I don't think there's anything.

How will you be spending Christmas?
Alone. I was toying with the idea of going home, but it's a bit late for all that. And my family aren't coming, so I'll be alone with Hermione and Ginny.

Which LJ users did you meet for the first time?
I didn't meet anyone in person this year. But since I've entered into the HP fandom, I've added some new people to my friends list.

Did you fall in love in 2007?
Nope.

How many one night stands?
None. I haven't had sex all year.

What was your favourite TV show?
Pushing Daisies, definitely.

Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yeah. David. Fucking cunt.

What was/were the best books you read?
Dirty Job and Lamb, by Christopher Moore; all of the Harry Potter books (I'd been avoiding reading them because I don't like things that are hyped up); and Good Omens.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
This is the year I discovered my guilty pleasures: Lady Sovereign and M.I.A.. I don't really like rap, but I like them.

What did you want and get?
I wanted loads of things, and I got every one of them. The list is far too long.

What did you want and not get?
Absolutely nothing. I always get what I want.

What was your favourite film this year?
This is a tough one, since I rarely go to the cinema. I was looking forward to The Order of the Phoenix, but I was sorely disappointed.

What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?
I didn't do anything, and I was twenty-eight.

What one thing would have made your year more satisfying?
I'm not sure. Nothing went wrong, so I don't know!

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Tunic tops or dresses over trousers or long skirts, and tonnes of ballet flats. Throw in some brightly-coloured jumpers and cardigans, and there you go.

What kept you sane?
There is nothing in this world that could keep me sane. I'm far too gone.

Which celebrity did you fancy the most?
I don't think I fancied any this year. I got over my Orlando-love, however. He is not ageing well at all.

Which political issue stirred you the most?
I don't give a monkey's about politics, honestly. I live in my own little world.

Who did you miss?
My family.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned this year?
Lesson? Yeah, right.

Quote a song lyric that sums up your year...
'It's Draco and Harry, sitting in a tree,
S-N-O-G-G-I-N-G.
It's Draco and Harry, sitting in a tree,
F-A-L-L-I-N-G in love.'
- Draco and Harry by The Whomping Willows.

Tick-tock.

Crap. Crap, crap, crappity crap.

I have a few hours to do that Christmas fic. A. Few. Hours.

Plot? Nope. Ideas? Nope. Procrastination? Yep.

Questions.

1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your favorite song.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to these questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.

These are my five questions from [livejournal.com profile] strider7901.

1. If you won a ticket to go anywhere in the world, where is it and why?
I would go to India. I love the culture, and living in London, it's everywhere. I would love to actually go to India someday.

2. What are your hobbies?
I like to read and muck about in PhotoShop.

3. What is broken in your house but too lazy to fix?
My other computer, the one I had custom made. It needs a power supply, but I haven't gotten round to getting it.

4. Excluding pleasure, why drives you to talk about sex soooo much? Is it a mystery to you? Just because?
The fact that I'm not getting any these days, I think. I haven't had sex in so long, I've declared my self a virgin all over again.

5. Why do you like Harry Potter?
This is an excellent question. When the first book came out, and everyone was talking about it and reading it, I wanted nothing to do with it. Then, as the films started getting made, and the other books came out, the hype got worse. I decided I would never, ever read the books or see the films. I was bored at my job one night, and someone had left a copy of the first film, I watched it. Then I decided I'd give the books a shot. I've been hooked ever since. I don't think that answered the question, though. I honestly don't know why I like it, other than it's entertaining and the fandom is full of interesting people.
