Oh, hell no.

As my phone rang almost continually from about nine this morning until about five this evening, I finally gave up and answered it. It was my assistant manager, S. S is not the one who phoned this morning; that was L, the manager.
After I declined to go to work this morning, L rang and rang and rang, so I let it go to voicemail each time. That stopped at around four. From four-thirty to five, the phone rang every ten minutes. Why was S so insistent to reach me? Because L told her I said was going in at four thirty. S wasn't upset, she was just wondering where I was since she was under the impression I was meant to be there. So, I don't fault S at all. I told her that I had refused L, and that L was lying. S believed me, because L apparently does this shit all the time, and that's why our location has high turn-over.
S had sent K home because she thought I was going in. Again, not S's fault. She was only going by what she was told by L. That left S alone in a busy shop. As a favour to S, because she was royally fucked by L, I went in from five-thirty to nine-thirty. S is taking over her own location on Monday, and she asked me if I wanted to follow her to her new shop. Of course, I said yes.
L has also told S that when I put away returns, I just leave merchandise in random places in the shop. Not fucking true. I was going to quit, but S begged me to stay long enough for my transfer to go through.
