when the train stops, elijah pitches slightly forward. orlando reaches and catches him around the waist, and elijah is struck with the realisation that orlando wouldn’t ever let anything hurt him, no matter how small the hurt would be. comforted by his epiphany, elijah leans into orlando’s embrace as people push past him, or stop in front of him, or bump into him on their way to a seat. he thinks maybe orlando’s forgotten to kiss him this time, so he turns his face to see why, but is stopped by orlando’s lips lightly touching his cheek.
orlando'd never forget.
